Coupled with the desire to work with and for People Development, Sheila has combined years of experience in both private and public sector business to become a trainer of NLP - fulfilling a life long ambition to help others help themselves. Sheila started the journey towards NLP 15 years ago, when she worked in Social Services and the NHS for multi disciplinary teams whose objective was to help adults and children with learning difficulties. Prompted by a desire to help others in the community, Sheila studied BSc (Hons) Psychology and having graduated, went straight into NLP. Before that, Sheila worked for a number of industries, including Travel, Accountancy Training and Engineering, in Sales, Marketing, Customer Care and Quality Control areas. Sheila's ability to teach others the techniques and processes of each department was so valuable; she often had the enviable task of training newcomers to the organisation. A role Sheila found fulfilling and enjoyable. Sheila brought extra charm and fun to Ultimate Mind trainings. Dan graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Mathematics and pursued a career in IT, spanning the banking, consultancy, insurance, legal and travel industries. As his career developed and he moved into management positions, Dan became interested in understanding the psychology of what made his staff and other people ‘tick’ and their thought patterns. It was this curiosity which led him to research and study Neuro Linguistic Programming. “I was fascinated by the power of the mind and how differently each individual thought and acted. I discovered that the old adage “treat others as you’d wish to be treated yourself” was not entirely true, as the way I may wish to be treated, may not be as effective for another person.” As Dan applied his knowledge of NLP to corporate life, he also recognised that the benefits could be incorporated into his own life for personal development. “I had got to a situation whereby I had lost control of my life and was living it for others. Subsequently I was drifting through life, merely existing. Through NLP I realised that I was in charge of my life and that I was at cause to take action and make it the best possible experience I could. I took the decision to make the most of this life I have, so I am now focussing on what I want and I haven’t looked back!” Dan is an internationally certified Trainer of NLP, Time Line Therapy™ and Hypnosis, having been trained by the world renowned Drs. Tad and Adriana James.
